Blackberry Smiley Face Icon

This morning, out of the blue, a smiley face icon popped up on my Blackberry Curve where my new mail indicator shows up. I had no idea what it was! Turns out that it indicates that there is a new item in the Blackberry messaging application. I accepted the invite and the smiley face went away! Problem solved!

    I have a smiley face still on my Blackberry.
    How do I get to it to make it go away?

    Need Help.

    Try pulling out the battery and put it back in to reboot your device.

    Thank you for the help getting rid of the Smiley Face. I searched all over my phone except in the messaging center.

    I can’t get the smiley face to go away, I tried the battery pull and everything under the sun. The red LED light is blinking and I have no messages.

    Go into your mail folder and then select the blackberry key on your blackberry.

    Scroll down to Instant Message and select it.

    Enter your name (or any name) and select Ok.

    That happy face means you have a new instant message. You cannot see the message unless you setup your messenger in the steps above.
