GTA4 Lost and Damned (L&D) Fuzzy/Grainy/Noisy Picture and Graphics

I’ve heard some people complaining about the fuzzy or grainy picture of Grand Theft Auto 4′s DLC Lost and Damned. It looks especially bad in HD! They apparently put a grainy filter on the graphics to stylize them… make them seem gritty and cool. It’s annoying a lot of people.

You can actually turn this “feature” off, though. Turn off the “noise” feature in the display tab of the menu and you’re good to go!

    just what i was searchin for nice 1 ..
    cannot beleive they thought it would add anything to the game by assaulting the graphics like that, i was checkin my tv settings and leads n everythin !
    looked awful on 1080p tv

    THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! I spent an hour switching cables, changing settings, moving equipment which may cause noise. I thought some hardware was failing. What a dumb setting!!

    Noise, does add to setting, 90% of horror movies use a bit of noise.. but it wasn’t designed for HD. and to those of you assuming off the bat it was hardware.. thats just bad.. always assume software before hardware, because if it wasn’t there before you started the game, then obviously it is the game.

    Also to those critisicing it with “wtf were they thinking” you go to hell lol, It looks good in SD.. just not in HD. Thats why you just switch to Component input to play with the grain, rather then Composite, or HDMI.

    LOL im glad I found this site explaining the picture and that I wasn’t the only one thinking oh god what have they done to graphics or bricking it that my tv was on the way out.
